I designed this X-Carve Tool Tray to organize all of my clamps, ramps, bases, bits and other accessories I have and neatly place them on available space over the Controller Side Board.
This tool tray was carved from a 2′ x 2′ x 3/4″ MDF board I bought from Home Depot. A 3mm wide shoulder was routed around the tray to hold an optional acrylic cover in the future.
The bit I used for this carve was the 1/8″ 2-Flute Solid Carbide Compression Bit part number 30668-01 sold by Inventables. I chose this bit because it leaves a nice finish on both the top and bottom side of your material, as described.
I’m very pleased with the performance of my X-Carve CNC machine, the ease of use of Easel (its design software) and the quality of the final product. Now I can have the X-Carve tools organized and readily available right on the side controller board. What do you think?
